Men of Tourism West Java is a male pageants contest held by the Putera Pariwisata Jawa Barat Foundation with the aim of finding the best men of West Java as a role model for West Java Tourism. This activity was attended by 19 finalists from various regions in West Java and various backgrounds ranging from students, businessmen, nurses and so on. This year’s event is themed “Disability Friendly Tourism”
The series of events starts from March 14, 2021 to April 4, 2021. The event starts from selection, online quarantine which is filled with various materials from competent people such as from the Biruku Foundation, one of the disability foundations in Bandung, Personal Branding by PPBS UPI students and so on. In addition, during the offline quarantine, there were visits to several places, namely Saung Angklung Udjo, RSA Clinic, and the Biruku Foundation.
The Grand Final event was held at Summer Hills Hotel, Bandung on Sunday April 4, 2021. Where the participants tried to show their best in this grand final event, participants will win various titles, namely Winner (Man of Tourism West Java 2021), 1st Runner Up (Man of Ecotourism West Java 2021), 2nd Runner Up (Man oof Creative Economy West Java 2021), 3rd Runner Up, 4th Runner Up, 5h Runner UP, Putera Kasep Wibawa and several attribute titles.
Kurniawan (20) who is familiarly called Awan is one of the participants who took part in the 2021 Man of Tourism West Java event. Awan is one of the students of Business Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, in this event Awan managed to get the title as the Man of Tourism West Java Friendship 2021 and TOP 5 Talented Tourism Man of 2021.
